Here’s the transcript:
When the days are getting away from you, it’s all too easy for designers to, just this once, email it.
And when you email design work, this horrific thing happens. You get these threads that just start splitting, that become really long.
You get the conversations that are just really unwieldy and difficult to manage.
InVision really fixes that problem.
As you’re looking at it, it’s right there.
This is where the comment is, and this is the answer to that one comment.
It’s not like somebody’s five comments, and then somebody else is reacting to two or three of them, and then
somebody else is bringing up a new topic altogether.
It’s for visibility on those small teams,
and kind of allowing those team members to weigh in
on designs at any stage in the process–whether they’re initial sketches, wireframes, or the high-fidelity designs.
It allows everyone to weigh in on what they think it should look like.
It allows us to talk about some of the tech issues for people who are more remote.
As a collaboration tool, it’s really helped us socialize with those group members, and have engineering and design work closer together,
and have UX design and engineering all on the same page, which I think is critical to the success of any project.
InVision is a collaboration tool that has allowed everyone to gain visibility on what we’re working on.
It’s made people not feel in the dark anymore.
And it’s allowed us to have design, have a better platform in the company.
